Just when we thought Rihanna had pushed every style and beauty limit under the sun, she managed to surprise us once more: By debuting a brand new gray hairstyle on her Instagram.
“New color ice grey ish, call it #Brr,” she wrote on the first shot of her new locks, which appeared to be an allover ash-gray color plus some matching extensions.

In subsequent photos the star posted, it became clear that the look is a twist on ombré hair color, with dark roots fading gradually into the pale hue.
“Grey is the new black! Blondies, it’s quiet for y’all! #brrr,” she wrote on one photo, and added on another “‘Everything feels like touchdown on a rainy day.’”
Rihanna’s not the first star to go gray for fun — Kelly Osbourne did it more than a year ago, so now we’re wondering who will be next. Selena Gomez? Kim Kardashian? Kiernan Shipka?
