We've been looking forward to the arrival of Phillip Lim's Target collaboration since it was announced in May, but it's hard to forget about the retailer's previous partnerships with everyone from Alexander McQueen to Zac Posen.
Target might not have been the first on the high-low collaboration scene (Halston paired up with JC Penney in 1983), but over the past 11 years, the retailer has done some fairly impressive work. The brand worked with Proenza Schouler early in its existence, helping to make it a household name, and its Go International series of collaborations helped American shoppers get a little more familiar with foreign designers like Behnaz Sarafpour and Tara Jarmon.
So here, we're taking a look back at some of our favorite pieces from Target's partnerships with brands like Missoni, Jean Paul Gaultier, and beyond.
