Do we sense a trend here? Renee Zellweger is no novice to the Oscars red carpet, and every time the Bridget Jones' Diary star steps out, she causes a scene.
In past years, the 43-year-old actress has often opted for Carolina Herrera gowns that scream Old Hollywood glamour and effortless grace.
And the love is mutual. The designer for the stars has previously gushed about dressing the Jerry Maguire actress.

"The red carpet is very important," Herrera once told the New York Times. "You have to be very careful to have the right person dressed in the right way. For me it has to be a perfect look. I love to dress Renee Zellweger."
In 2004, Zellweger turned heads in an exquisite white taffeta gown with a memorable white bow and long train. The actress topped off her look with a $550,000 vintage Cartier diamond choker and a new accessory at the end of the night -- the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Cold Mountain.

One year later, the blonde beauty went dark in a va-va-voom ruby red strapless mermaid gown that showed off her enviable figure. She paired the bright gown with a pop of red for her lips and a surprisingly elegant, dark coiff.
Zellweger's style evolution continued in 2008, with a less structured, glimmering silver concoction that showed off her physique with a daring thigh-high slit. To cap off her look, the actress opted to return to her platinum blonde roots.
