Reese Witherspoon still has a special memento from her one of her most beloved movies. During an appearance on "The Drew Barrymore Show" on Feb. 14, the "Your Place or Mine" actor took a trip down memory lane and revisited some of her iconic rom-coms, revealing that she still has her wedding dress from "Sweet Home Alabama."
At the end of 2002 film, Witherspoon's Melanie wore the fitted, cap-sleeve bridal gown with a birdcage veil as she left Patrick Dempsey's Andrew at the altar to be with Jake, played by Josh Lucas. Created by costume designer Sophie de Rakoff, the gown is arguably one of the best movie wedding dresses of all time.
"I remember that scene that we shot in the rain, and I'm in the wedding dress, and I run away from my wedding, and I run to see Josh Lucas on the beach," she told Drew Barrymore. "And it was pouring down rain, but I remember thinking, 'This is such a crazy, amazing moment I'm going to remember this forever,' and I still have the wedding dress."
Witherspoon has been known to snag a thing or two from her film sets. She previously shared on "The Graham Norton Show" that per her contract for the movie, she went home with Elle Woods's entire wardrobe from "Legally Blonde 2." "I got all my wardrobe - like, all of it," she said in the 2019 interview, casually revealing that "all of it" included 77 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes.
