In case you don’t follow us on Instagram (and really, why don’t you?) and failed to witness our flawlessly executed bend and snap, then you probably were left completely unaware that yesterday marked the 15th anniversary of one of the most important films of this century. That’s right, we could clearly only be talking about Legally Blonde. And to celebrate, the movie’s star, Reese Witherspoon, went deep into character, resurrecting all of her favorite Elle Woods costumes and reenacting the most iconic moments, much to the delight of squealing 20 and 30-somethings everywhere.

Reese kicked off celebrations a day early, posting a video to her Instagram alerting fans to the upcoming celebrations by waving around her fuzzy pink pen and asking her followers to tag her in anything that reminds them of the film.
She then went on Snapchat, revealing that she still has a box filled with all of her old costumes, including a huge array of pink and fuzzy heels. Why those aren’t all a regular part of her everyday wardrobe rotation we’ll never understand.

She then changed in to a few looks from the film, re-confirming that age-old maxim that we’ve lived our life by ever since we first met Elle: “Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.” And, of course, a good Legally Blonde recreation would never be complete without the pink bikini scene from her Harvard Law application that proves she’s able to recall hundreds of important details at the drop of a hat, and the outfit that precipitated this whole plot line, the dress Warner dumped her in. She also went through each of her most memorable looks explaining their significance so you can relive all of your pre-teen Malibu Barbie meets the Ivy League fantasies. She even still has the pink Marc Jacobs dress she wore to the film’s premiere!
But of course, no Legally Blonde celebration would be complete without a lesson in how to bend and snap from the woman who elevated this weapon of seduction to an art form. Works every time.
