When we found out that designer Rebecca Minkoff teamed up with CorningWare and Corelle to throw a fabulous dinner party, we had to ask this stylish hostess for some entertaining tips. And do you know what? She proved to know just as much about hosting as she does fashion.
Minkoff said that one of the biggest no-nos you can make when throwing a party is being way too occupied in the kitchen and leaving your guests to fend for themselves. She suggests using cookware that can easily go from the oven to the table, so you can cut down on serving time.
Another great tip? Be sure to make a dish you know everyone invited is going to love. "I try to find out my guests favorite thing before cooking for them," she told The Huffington Post. "Recently I had a couple over who loves tapas so I surprised them by making a tapas night!"
Minkoff is also a fan of a little DIY party favor. She says she prepackages extra dessert in a cute way so guests can enjoy it after all is said and done.
We've informally polled our peers to figure out the most annoying guests that one would come across at a party. From "The Barnacle" to "The Drive-By Guest," here are the 10 people to watch out for... and how to deal with them.
