When we think of punk nails, chipped black nail polish is the first thing that comes to mind. (We don't know too many misfits that flaunt fresh manicures.) But we certainly didn't expect the stars who showed up on the 2013 Met Gala red carpet to follow suit.
Instead, they trusted celebrity manicurists like Deborah Lippmann, Kimmie Kyees, Katie Jane Hughes and Lisa Logan to create punk nail art. From Sienna Miller's studded-and-skull black fingers (and toes!) to Emmy Rossum's crystal-and-lace nail decals, it was all pretty rad!
