The challenge for this week of "Project Runway" was to design a dress for country music star Miranda Lambert. To add to the pressure, Miranda was there herself to help judge the designs and offer her own critiques. And she proved that she had no intention of being one of those gushing celebrities who says everything is great. She didn't hold back at all.
She was particularly disappointed in Matt, who saw himself land in the bottom thanks to his design. He couldn't stop apologizing for it, either, which seemed to bother Miranda more than the design itself.
"You know what? I don’t even want to talk about it, because you obviously know what’s wrong with it," she said. "I just want to talk about you not having confidence in your own craft. Because, if you don’t have confidence in your craft, then no one else can."
She encouraged him to find his confidence, though it wouldn't be on "Project Runway" as Matt was eliminated. Perhaps proving Miranda right, Matt didn't cry. He said he deserved it and knew his time was coming. Buddy TV hopes his elimination doesn't hurt his confidence even more.
The remaining designers keep vying for the prize on "Project Runway," Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
