Priyanka Chopra attended the debut of the musical Civilization to Nation at the launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Culture Centre on March 31, stunning in what might just be her most naked gown yet. Attending the event with husband Nick Jonas, she was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray in a strapless dress that was intricately beaded at the bodice and totally sheer as it cascaded from her hips down to the floor. On top, she wore a rosette-covered cape that fastened around her neck and continued down her back. The entire look was designed by Elie Saab, reminiscent of similar styles championed on the red carpet lately by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Rihanna, and more.
Chopra's mostly see-through number featured pockets, with the shade of the silk and beading alike as close to skin tone as possible, aiding in the "naked" details. She accessorized with jewelry from Bulgari and gold platform heeled sandals with an ankle strap. Her husband wore a lace top underneath a black suit. Chopra shared images on Instagram of their evening and also posed on the red carpet for the paparazzi flashes. Though she currently lives in LA with her family, Chopra was born in India and began her career working in Bollywood films. As such, she is a huge advocate for the country's industry growth.
Chopra went out on what she captioned as a "date night" afterwards, wearing a colorful strapless custom gown from Amit Aggarwal, this time arranged by her longtime styling partner Ami Patel.
Chopra has had other notable moments in Elie Saab, including the 2019 Vanity Fair Oscars party, where she wore a black dress that, although also sheer, gave off a totally different vibe. Lately, she has been loving the naked dress trend, opting for a see-through crop top at a South Asian event in Hollywood ahead of the Oscars, as well as a Tony Ward Couture ensemble at a Saudi Arabian event in December.
