The urban warrior that marched down Prabal Gurung’s runway was feminized by way of figure-flattering cuts and romantic patterns. To get the look's paisley-mosaic motif, I used a black base with red and white pinpoints, paisley teardrops, and geometric lines to decorate each nail.
Tools You’ll Need: Deborah Lippmann Ridge Filler base coat, OPI Alpine Snow, Covergirl Outlast Black Diamond, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure All Fired Up, Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed top coat, and the Sephora Nail Art Set.
Length of Time Required: 30-45 minutes, depending on drying time.
Step 1: Begin with the Ridge Filler base coat.
Step 2: Paint on two coats of Black Diamond for a slick background.
Step 3: Use your double-ended marbling tool to make white and red dots of varying sizes in geometric and paisley patterns. Give each finger a unique design, and be careful not to overcrowd each nail. I recommend doing one full nail at a time, using a paper towel to wipe off any extra polish when switching colors.
Step 4: Use the thin nail brush to draw solid graphic lines within the dot patterns.
Step 5: Finish with a top coat.
