Sure, Michelle Obama repeats (even three-peats) outfits often. But that doesn't mean she can't pull a surprise out of her closet. FLOTUS wore white pants to the Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn on Monday -- a bold move, considering the famous fashion rule to save the shade 'til after Memorial Day (or whatever your regional rule dictates).
We're all for breaking that rule on occasion, but can you really call it winter white on April 1? And considering Michelle's proximity to stain-producing grass, is this pick too risky? The theme of this year's Easter Egg role is "Be Healthy, Be Active, Be You!" so it's pretty fitting for Michelle to emphasize movement and individuality in white pants.
The First Lady made her white trousers less summery by pairing them with a black and white-striped blazer with black trim. Though we missed the rainbow brights FLOTUS wore to the Easter Egg roll in 2012, she introduced a little whimsicality by pattern-mixing, wearing a striped tee with floral screen print and accessorizing with an armful of playful bangles.
Tell us: Do you think Michelle went for white too soon, or do you applaud her fashion rule recklessness?
