When Jewel sang "You Were Meant For Me" in 1995 we thought no other singer-songwriter could ever express what we felt in our girly, romantic hearts... until Taylor Swift came along about 10 years later with songs like "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me."
While these ladies certainly occupy the same spot in our brains music-wise (hey, they're both pop artists with a country twang), we've been starting to notice that they're not too different in the style department either. Come to think if it: There are a lot of contemporary artists who seem to have filled the fashion role of one of their '90s predecessors.
To prove our theory, we've decided to round up a few of our favorite '90s/modern day musician style twins. Check out our list below and tell us who we're missing!
1. Madonna & Lady Gaga
2. Mariah Carey & Rihanna
3. Mary J. Blige & Nicki Minaj
4. Backstreet Boys & One Direction
5. Kim Gordon & Florence Welch
6. Gwen Stefani & Katy Perry
7. Spice Girls & The Saturdays
8. Jewel & Taylor Swift
9. TLC & Destiny's Child
What about the supermodels of the '90s?
