The 2000s fashion resurgence is everywhere you turn - on red carpets, TV shows, TikTok feeds, runways. And no one embodies the essence of noughties style more than Paris Hilton. Her meteoric rise to fame was considered a sign of the times; Hilton's clever catchphrases, paparazzi photos, and over-the-top fashion were all emblematic of the era. From her vast velour tracksuit collection to her dangerously-low-rise jeans, Hilton owned the definitive 2000s-era wardrobe - and now she's looking back with a one-day pop-up shop with Klarna called "
"It was hard to narrow it down to a few outfits for the pop-up since there were so many fun looks from that era with incredible memories attached to them," the 42-year-old media personality tells POPSUGAR, "like the iconic silver chainmail dress I wore to my 21st birthday party or the denim mini skirt I wore in 'The Simple Life' season one promo with Nicole [Richie]."
The pop-up shop also coincides with the launch of a limited-edition tracksuit with net proceeds going to Hilton's nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact, a charitable organization created to defend women's and children's rights worldwide. "The velour tracksuit is so iconically Y2K, and since the campaign is about how Klarna has helped shopping evolve, we also wanted to launch an upgraded version of the tracksuit," Hilton explains. "Since the 2000s were all about trying new styles and playing with fashion, we had to add tons of sparkles for a major statement piece. Loves it."
Hilton says the tracksuit is the 2000s-inspired style she wears most since welcoming her first child. "I've been spending a lot of time in my favorite staple that doubles as the most comfortable outfit in my closet - velour tracksuits," she reveals.
Ahead, Hilton talks to POPSUGAR about her favorite 2000s fashion trends, the memories attached to her "House of Y2K" outfits, and what she hopes to pass down to her son. Read on for our full interview and keep scrolling to shop the new Paris Hilton x Klarna tracksuit.
