The Original Cosmo Girl’s Bachelorette Pad Is on the Market

Of course Helen Gurley Brown's apartment has a pink living room. The late Cosmopolitan founder's Central Park West digs are on the market for $20 million, according to Variety. The apartment, which previously belonged to Mike Nichols, incorporates plenty of Gurley Brown's favorite color, along with leopard carpets and chinoiserie chests of drawers. (Despite the apartment's opulence, she still opted to take the bus to work at the Hearst Tower every day.)

The apartment, which is located in the Emery Roth–designed Beresford building, is currently up for sale via Sotheby's. For anyone who can't quite commit to that asking price, her classic Sex and the Single Girl — a.k.a. the HGB starter kit — is going for a mere $5.29 right now on eBay.
