For the second installment of our "New York Greats" series, Elettra Wiedemann spoke with Carolina Herrera. In the video, she reveals how she stays calm during pre–Fashion Week insanity, despite a recurring nightmare she always has: "It's the day of the show, 1,200 people ... and I have to come out and say, 'Ladies and gentlemen, I am not ready.'" She also discusses how to balance business and family (don't talk shop away from the office), what it's like to see someone wearing her clothes, and her worst habit (chocolate and Coca-Cola for breakfast). This week, Mrs. Herrera, we say go for it.
Carolina Herrera's fall collection will show Monday, February 11, at 10 a.m. in Lincoln Center's Theater. Still to come in this series: Wiedemann's interviews with Michael Kors and Donna Karan. Stay tuned!
