Fashion brands are always chasing youth (see: Jennifer Lawrence for Dior). So we can't be all too surprised that Givenchy has replaced Liv Tyler, the longtime face of the brand's Very Irresistible fragrance, with Hollywood darling Amanda Seyfried.
Women's Wear Daily reports that Seyfried will rep the Very Irresistible fragrance in print ads lensed by Glen Luchford and TV commercials shot by Cédric Klapisch, with the whole thing styled by Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.
It's a huge fashion gig for Seyfried, who has become a regular fixture at Fashion Week but has few contracts to her name, save for pricey French brand Cle de Peau. Tyler, on the other hand, has been with Givenchy since 2003.
But we're guessing Seyfried will be a natural, seeing as she's so comfortable posing for the camera: The "Les Misérables" star recently told Page Six that she would've totally stripped down to the nude for a recent Allure shoot (if only her publicist had let her).
One thing we shouldn't expect: for Amanda to come out with a perfume of her own. "They're hard work," Seyfried said of celebrity fragrances, "and the more you do, they take away from your work as an actor." Ouch -- is that a dig at these ladies?
