Sometimes something as simple as changing your hair color can be just what one needs to shake things up.
That was the case for actress Michelle Trachtenberg, who showed up to the 3rd Annual Coach Evening to Benefit the Children's Defense Fund at the Bad Robot in Hollywood on April 10, with a brand-new head of red hair.
The 27-year-old actress told Us Weekly that she had dyed her naturally medium brown hair darker to play Georgina Sparks on "Gossip Girl," and now that the show ended she was ready for something new.
"I just woke up this morning and decided it was time for a change after six years," she told the magazine of her new fiery tresses. "I didn't realize it would take six hours! Tracey [Cunningham] is a perfectionist, and that's why I love her. I did it and then came right here."
Trachtenberg is just one of the many actresses to go red recently. Last week, "Friends with Kids" star Megan Fox dyed her brunette locks red to play April O'Neil in the new live-action Ninja Turtles film. Meanwhile, "Modern Family" star Ariel Winter, 15, posted a photo of her new "Little Mermaid" red hair, and Rachel McAdams and Dianna Agron also became redheads recently.
