We’ve talked fauxhawks. We’ve talked smoky eyes. But we have not yet discussed these three major beauty moments, and it’s about time.
First up: January Jones’s straight-up Black Swan makeup look. From the bleached eyebrows to the dramatic black liner, we hardly recognized our dear Betty Draper — and we kinda liked it. It was bold and brazen, but was it a hit?

Also on the daring end of the eyeshadow spectrum, Emily Blunt opted for a bold wash of fuschia shadow that totally played against the conservative vibe of her Carolina Herrera gown. Between that and her fierce Lorraine Schwartz danglers, she embodied the phrase “if looks could kill.”
And finally, Elizabeth Banks’s long, clipped-up ponytail, which didn’t quite qualify for our fauxhawk roundup, but it was head-turning nonetheless.
