Meghan Markle is showing a different side of her style. The Duchess of Sussex graced the cover of Variety on Oct. 19, in which she reflects on her relationship with Queen Elizabeth and her time in Hollywood. As Markle shares more of her personal life and perspectives since stepping away from her royal duties, it seems she's doing the same with her fashion. Photographed by Ramona Rosales at San Ysidro Ranch, the ethereal cover shoot shows Markle in a series of vibrant colors and prints - a departure from her typical neutral palette.
The "Archetypes" host, who has quite the particular sense of style consisting of structured silhouettes and monochrome hues, worked with stylist Rebecca Grice and tailor M'Lynn Hass to dream up five stunning ensembles - some reflective of her everyday looks and others that signaled a new style direction.
First, Markle stuck to her usual for the Variety cover itself, in which she wore a sleeveless black blouse from Giorgio Armani and a gold Jennifer Fisher choker. However, she wore a striking Jason Wu gown in an abstract print dyed in pink and white for a few playful shots of her turning back and lying on the ground barefoot. She dressed in another colorful look, a sweeping halter-neck evening gown from Galvan London in a rich emerald hue, which was paired with Mondo Mondo jelly earrings and Cartier bangles.
She also posed in a dramatic Carolina Herrera midi dress with a cascading neckline, teaming the royal-blue number with crisscross silver heels from Amina Muaddi. Lastly, a beige belted jumpsuit from Max Mara that we've previously seen Markle wearing versions of completed the dreamlike photo shoot.
