You think you’re a Last Night’s Look: Love It or Leave It addict? You should stop by the office sometime to see us passionately debating, defending and delighting in celeb styles — the good, the bad and the wacky. This week, we round up two looks we were loving and one we’re less crazy about — check ‘em out below and let us know your faves in the comments!

Love It: Marion Cotillard’s Cocktail Dress: I’m happy to report that Marion Cotillard’s asymmetrical coat and shorts mélange less than a month ago was just a minor misstep — the actress is back on track. At the Guggenheim Gala pre-party, she turned heads in head-to-brilliant-toe Dior. This strapless Haute Couture cocktail dress is exactly the reason why the peplum silhouette should be appreciated. And those ombré booties! They’re such a refreshing compliment to an otherwise classic look that I will never wear all black to a black-tie event again. I say, keep taking risks, Marion! –Jackie Fields, Beauty Writer

Love It: Jamie Chung’s Starry Gown: I am a sucker for anything star-print, so I was swooning over the star’s high-slit, plunging cap-sleeve Diane Von Furstenberg gown. And just when I thought things couldn’t get prettier, she gave us the full 360° view of her hair, a braided and chain-wrapped style that made me wish my hair would grow about six inches instantly. (If you’re brave enough to try it yourself, here’s what you need to know.) This is my dream holiday party look … if I were a zilionaire with fancy bashes to go to and a whole hairstyling team at my disposal. –Alex Apatoff, Senior Editor
Hate It: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Brazen Bandeau Jumpsuit: I’d like to file Rosie’s Balmain ensemble under “Just Because You Can, Doesn’t Mean You Should.” Rosie nearly always looks fab (case in point being her latest shoot for Paige denim) and clearly is in fantastic shape, but I get the feeling that Rosie just might be one of the only girls in the whole world who could pull off a skimpy bandeau top under a super-plunging suspenders-like top and sheer pants. Plus, the choker and the wide belt seem like overkill against a look that’s already out-of-the-box. Again, the problem isn’t that Rosie doesn’t look “good,” but that it’s a little obvious: we already know that she looks amazing in all different types of pantsuits by Balmain. –Catherine Kast, Style Writer
