It’s that time again! Our November issue is out, and the theme this month is “The Best for Less!” That’s right: It’s packed with genius buys that won’t break your budget (but are bound to get you a ton of compliments). And our monthly columnist Maria Menounos is a firm believer in bargain shopping.
“There’s no reason to spend a lot on fashion when there are so many thrifty options,” the Extra host tells us. “It may make you feel better inside knowing that you have the Chloé boots, but I always am totally more moved by my friends who are like, I got these at the flea market. Or at H&M. I’m like, you did? It’s just how you assemble the outfit.”

We know what you’re thinking: “assembling” an outfit isn’t always that easy. But according to Menounos, you can’t be shy: “Ask for help,” she advises. “You can get people in those stores that really love fashion and will help you. Always go earlier in the day. Later on, it gets overwhelming, a million people, never enough help. I’ve gone in there in the heat of the day and walked out.”
The TV personality also practices a bargain-hunting policy when it comes to her beauty products.
“There are so many good makeup cheapies. It’s up to you and your wallet. If you have more, then you can spend more. If you don’t, you can’t be in debt over skin stuff. My mom and boyfriend have used vitamin E cream their whole lives and they look amazing,” she shares. “Rose water as a toner is amazing, Cetaphil is a great cleanser. I like Neutrogena wipes. I use them at night to take my makeup off, and baking soda is an amazing exfoliator.”
