Though she’s only been a red carpet presence for two years, it feels like there’s almost no fashion frontier Lupita Nyong’o hasn’t conquered. She’s worn capes! Fringe! Pearls! And a million twirly skirts! But Wednesday night, Nyong’o went where almost no woman has gone before — to a fashion galaxy far, far away — in a dress that glowed, flashed and blinked with dozens of LED lights.

Designed by Zac Posen in collaboration with Google for his ZAC Zac Posen line, the dress was previously worn by Coco Rocha on Posen’s runway and was a part of Google’s Made With Code program, which encourages girls to get into coding.
Nyong’o selected it for the Star Wars:Force 4 Fashion event in N.Y.C. The actress, who stars in the upcoming film The Force Awakens, checked out designs by DVF, Rag & Bone, Parker and more, all of which will be auctioned by Bloomingdale’s to benefit the Child Mind Institute. “It’s a great collaboration, and one that is only expanding what is the Star Wars universe,” Nyong’o told reporters about the event. “I’m super excited to be here because I love fashion and I love Star Wars.”
