‘Fashion Star’ host, style MVP and all-around awesome person Louise Roe flew from L.A. to N.Y.C. to take in some shows — and share very exciting news! She blogged about her experience Thursday for PEOPLE Stylewatch.
It’s a beautiful sunny morning and Ralph Lauren’s show is downtown. He’s laid expensive parquet wood flooring down, hung antler chandeliers and is playing Russian classical music.
The mood is magical, and we’re taken on a journey with Anna Karenina: velvet cossack pants, tapestry totes, fur hats and mohair trims. It’s so stunning and decadent, I’m reminded why coming to fashion shows is such an honor and a treat.
Next I race uptown for an editorial shoot. I play stylist and mix up looks. Magazines shoot out of season, so I’m wearing orange shorts on a snow-covered rooftop … freezing!
I’ve almost forgotten it’s Valentines Day until someone hands me a rose on the street. I LOVE New York! As my beau is across the country, it’s cocktails with my fashion friends tonight … Perfect.
