In what promises to be a stylish warm-up to the 2016 Olympics, Nicolas Ghesquière will be showing his resort 2017 collection for Louis Vuitton in Rio de Janeiro come May 28. That will come on the heels of Chanel's show in Cuba and Alessandro Michele's Gucci outing in London. (It also ups the ante from the house's previous resort stop in Palm Springs.) It's just the latest volley in the ongoing game of luxury houses' destination show one-upmanship. By the time resort 2027 rolls around, will they all be jockeying over space on Mars?
