Supermodel Lais Ribeiro, 31, married former French American Chicago Bulls basketball player Joakim Noah, 37, on the beach in her hometown of Brazil on July 13 in front of family and friends. Ribeiro walked down the aisle in a Galia Lahav creation complete with a full tulle skirt, boned corset bodice, and off-the-shoulder illusion overlay embroidered with beaded florals, which also trickled down past her waistline.
Opting for natural waves, she pinned white flowers to her hair to match her bouquet and finished the look with diamond stud earrings. Noah coordinated at the barefoot ceremony in an ivory double-breasted tuxedo worn over a relaxed white button-down, adding a gold chain-link bracelet and round, translucent sunglasses for a '70s-inspired touch.
Several of Ribeiro's model friends were in attendance, with Sara Sampaio and Jasmine Tookes acting as bridesmaids in gold satin one-shoulder dresses and Candice Swanepoel posing in a fringed Solar Eruption dress by Ibrahima Gueye.
The couple got engaged in 2019 when the athlete orchestrated a surprise proposal at Burning Man, giving Ribeiro a diamond engagement ring set on a thin, diamond-encrusted band estimated to cost over $30,000 (according to Andrew Fox, president of SuperJeweler).
"Proposing to you was the easiest decision of my life. Seeing that smile riding the playa at the burn... I will never forget that. I got your back, picanha!!! I know you know because I tell you everyday. I love u. On another note, this wedding is about to be lit," Noah teased on his feed on September 7, 2019.
