Kylie Jenner made her Met Gala debut back in 2016, which was arguably at the beginning of her entrance into the world of luxury fashion. And, tonight, she hit the red carpet once more in a fiery red gown from Jean Paul Gaultier by Haider Ackermann, all while celebrating a complicated yet beloved fashion great, Karl Lagerfeld. The 25-year-old's floor-length dress featured an asymmetric silhouette and hem, which she teamed with similarly structured red pumps and a textured, two-tone wrap that was elevated by blue silk lining on the back. Lorraine Schwartz jewels capped off her colorful ensemble with an elegant touch.
Jenner has recently been working with sister styling duo Alexandra and Mackenzie Grandquist, who have helped her elevate her style, both on and off the red carpet, so this latest look is no surprise. The star's longtime makeup artist Ariel went for a softer beauty look that allowed the dress to speak for itself, and Jenner also opted for a tousled, Pamela Anderson-inspired updo which provided an unobstructed view of the gown's abstract neckline.
The Kylie Cosmetics mogul has been supportive of Lagerfeld's brands for years, be it wearing a Chanel logo sweatshirt, matching her Fendi logo dress to Stormi's stroller, possessing a slew of designer bags from both brands, or supporting her runway model sister, Kendall, who walked in nearly all of the major shows for Lagerfeld's brands over her career. Jenner's Met Gala look embodied a classic Hollywood elegance - similar to the ones Lagerfeld brought to life through his designs - while also providing a welcomed pop of color to a carpet that was mostly dominated by metallics and neutral palettes.
Despite the red-hot ensemble she sported for fashion's biggest night, Jenner has been on quite a black palette kick lately, wearing a see-through dress held together with gold rings for "HommeGirls Volume 9," a black striped naked dress post-Oscars, and even an all-black workout look back at the beginning of April.
Ahead, check out Jenner's killer look from the 2023 Met Gala.
