The end of an era! Kitson, the shop frequented by rising starlets and the likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan in the early 2000s, has raised a white flag.

In 2005, any of your favorite celebs could have been spotted with a blue Kitson bag in hand.
But now, all 17 locations of the California brand (which also had stores in Oregon and Nevada) are set to close. The good news? If you live on the West Coast, you can take part in their brick-and-mortar going-out-of-business/holiday sale, which features discounts from 30 to 50 percent off on apparel and accessories.

Kitson's online property, Shopkitson.com, will also be shuttered. However, James Wong, the retailer's chief restructuring officer, said in a statement that Kitson was talking with "interested parties" to preserve the brand, according to the L.A. Times.
Despite its prosperous beginnings, the company has been struggling since 2013, when it got a $15 million credit line to refinance debts, and then was bailed out in the summer of 2015 by Spencer Spirit Holdings, Inc., the brand behind Spirit Halloween pop-ups and Spencer's novelty gift shops.
