In the past week, Kim Kardashian West‘s life has changed dramatically.
The reality star, 35, was held at gunpoint in Paris by masked men who stole millions of dollars worth of jewelry from her apartment at the No Address Hotel at around 3 a.m. last Monday.
Since returning to her home in Los Angeles on Thursday with her two children, daughter North, 3, and son Saint, 10 months, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has maintained an extremely low profile.
According to a source, Kim hasn’t left the house and has been spending time with her kids, as well as the rest of her famous family.
“For the most part, the whole family has been on lockdown,” says the insider. “Everyone is affected by what happened to Kim. Kim has spent a lot of time with her family over the weekend. The whole weekend was all about family time.”
According to the source, Kim’s family has been keeping her company while her husband Kanye West, 38, continues on his Saint Pablo tour. (The rapper, who is currently on the Canadian leg of the tour, is scheduled to perform in Winnipeg Wednesday.)
Family bodyguard Pascal Duvier, who was out in Paris with Kim’s sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner the night the incident took place, is still employed and is currently traveling with West.
According to the source, Kim has “a brand new security team” and her mother Kris Jenner “has held meetings with her daughters to figure out how to change things and protect her family better.”

While her sisters all gradually returned to social media and resumed posting content on their apps in the last few days, Kim’s Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, as well as her app, have all gone radio silent.
On Monday, Kim was noticeably missing from her sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian‘s Snapchats. The two documented their daily workout together, and also snapped photos and videos from their afternoon spending time with their brother Rob Kardashian and Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick.
A few of the family members, minus Kim, have also stepped out since the ordeal. Sister Kylie Jenner, 19, was spotted out and about in L.A. a few times last week and enjoyed a night out at Universal Studios on Saturday. Kourtney, 37, also took her kids shopping with Disick, 33, over the weekend, and Rob, 29, stopped by a pumpkin patch with his fiancée Blac Chyna, 28, and her son King Cairo, 3, on Sunday.
On Monday, Kim’s mother Kris, 60, took to Instagram to share a touching message in the wake of the incident.
“Every morning is a reminder of how blessed we are. Today I am grateful for my family, who I love more than words can explain,” read the post. “Count your blessings, be grateful always, and cherish every moment you spend with your loved ones.”
Meanwhile, Khloé, 32, was the first member of the famous family to publicly address the robbery.
“She’s not doing that well,” said Khloé during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show set to air Tuesday. “I mean, it’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her. But our family is super close and great and we’ll get through it together, and we do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support and it will take time. You know, it was horrible what happened to her.”
