New baby, new hair! Just months after welcoming second son Leo Thames to her family, Jaime King embraced even more change by taking her hair to the dakr side.

The actress put her strawberry blonde tress update on full display during a night out at celebrating Violet Grey, and then she later showed off a closer look of the mane change on Instagram Wednesday night.

King also went for loose waves to up the impact of her brand-new hue (rather than her typical blowout or tight bun). One thing that hasn’t changed? Her hair’s volume even after giving birth, which, the star says, can sometimes cause hair loss.
“It’s funny because in our business, everyone is always talking about how they grow their hair back if they cut it for a role or whatever,” she previously told PeopleStyle at an event for Nourage. “Or women after pregnancy, a lot of women lose their hair after pregnancy. I was very blessed that that didn’t happen. [It happened] to my sister and a lot of other women.”

Though we had previously only considered our holiday hair options to include buns, braids and waves, thanks to King’s makeover, we’re wondering if a color change might not qualify as appropriately festive.
