Jack Harlow is making a fashion statement to support his friend and fellow collaborator at Sunday evening's BET Awards. On June 26, the "First Class" musician showed up to the red carpet in Lil Nas X merch following the "Montero" rapper's nomination snub. Harlow, who released "Industry Baby" with Lil Nas X last year, wore a black graphic tee emblazoned with photos of the rapper, which he paired with black Givenchy pants with a chain, as well as derby shoes from the brand. Harlow, who's set to perform at the ceremony, has been criticized for his nomination for best male hip-hop artist as a white rapper.
Prior to the show, Lil Nas X called out the network after receiving zero nominations this year, despite being awarded with various accolades from the Grammys, MTV VMAs, and AMAs earlier in 2022. On Friday, the rapper released "Late to Da Party" featuring "F*ck BET" lyrics. He also recently detailed his "painful and strained" history with BET in a statement to Rolling Stone, sharing that his performance at last year's award show came with several stipulations and grievances. However, the network has claimed Lil Nas X's statement to be "simply untrue," and said that despite their love for the rapper, he wasn't nominated by BET's voting academy.
Ahead, take a closer look at Harlow's outfit at the BET Awards.
