Talk about high-low! Helen Hunt, nominated for her role in The Sessions, proudly wore a classic, navy strapless gown from H&M to the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. That said, she did accessorize with $700,00 worth of jewels.

The dress may have been navy-blue but it's also "green," the actress told E!'s Ryan Seacrest. Hunt was on the host committee for Global Green's pre-Oscar Party sponsored by H&M on Feb. 20. "We all need to raise our voice in support of action on climate change and solutions like increased use of solar power, more energy efficient buildings and higher mileage cars," Hunt told The Hollywood Reporter.

The Sessions star is not the first actress to walk the Oscar red carpet in a design sold by a mass retailer. Sharon Stone famously wore a white Gap button-down shirt to the Academy Awards in 1998.
