Florence Pugh graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new film "The Wonder" in a feather-trimmed cutout dress by Valentino on Friday, Oct. 7. Like a 1930s socialite ready for her close-up, Pugh's appearance at the London Film Festival was reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow, and, more recently, Lizzo's most iconic style moments.
The sunset-pink dress, which is from Pierpaolo Piccioli's fall/winter 2022 collection, featured a sheer train that could have doubled as a set of wings as Pugh floated in front of the cameras. The hem of the gown was adorned with thousands of peach-colored feathers that added dimension to the look, making for a dramatic silhouette from all angles. The bodice of the dress, equipped with delicate straps, featured a ruched bralette over a horizontal cutout, creating the illusion of a two-piece.
Pugh's stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray completed the actor's look with a set of gold heeled sandals, a prominent silver statement ring, and gold drop earrings adorned with crystals from London jeweler David Morris. The "Don't Worry Darling" star's look was further accessorized with a retro Lulu Guinness birdcage clutch. The satin purse, which comes in black and pale blue, also doubles as a music box with a secret button hidden on the base of the bag that says "Press for Bird Song" in embroidered lettering.
