"Don't Worry Darling" star Florence Pugh arrived on the 2023 Oscars red carpet in a Valentino spring 2023 Le Club Couture outfit that boasted her signature brand of glamour and edge. The 27-year-old actor layered a beige taffeta draped dress with voluminous sleeves and a dramatically long train over a pair of black short-shorts. To play up the leggy moment, Pugh capped off the outfit with square-toe satin platforms, also courtesy of the fashion house. The finishing touch was an eye-catching platinum necklace from Tiffany & Co., along with earrings and rings with pink tourmalines and diamonds.
Pugh was styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, who has sourced many of her recent Valentino outfits. Peter Lux styled her blond bob into a twisted updo that curved atop her head and created the illusion of baby bangs. Alex Babsky used Valentino beauty products to create a cat eye swept over pink eyeshadow, along with a petal-pink lip.
A daring take on the micro-mini trend, Pugh's ensemble stood out by a mile, as it felt groundbreaking compared to many of the whimsical white dresses that overtook this year's ceremony. We've been longtime fans of Pugh's bold fashion choices, which have recently included floor-sweeping opera gloves from Erdem as well as a see-through skirt and sparkling minidress from Valentino.
