Remember that fashion week slap incident from last season's Zac Posen show? We're happy to report that we can finally put the whole thing behind us.
Just in case you haven't been mulling it over the last few months, HL Group PR exec Lynn Tesoro filed a $1 million lawsuit against Marie-José Susskind-Jalou as well as her daughters, Jennifer Eymere and Vanessa Bellugeon of Jalouse and L’Officiel magazines, after Susskind-Jalou slapped her across the face. The altercation happened after 60 seats were removed from Zac Posen's runway venue, leaving the alleged slapper without one. Typique.
Today, Women's Wear Daily reports that the case has been settled, according to Tesoro's legal counsel because the family didn't seem . A source even added that the settlement involved a formal apology. Tesoro must have one savvy legal team. Back in September, when Eymere initially took the blame for the slap, this was her description of the incident:
"It was a small slap. It was not strong. I didn’t hurt her, it was just to humiliate her. She humiliated my mom, and I humiliated her in front of her crew. Voilà. I just said at the end, 'Now you know you don’t f--k with French people.'"
And here we thought the old French adage was je ne regrette rien. What do you think of the outcome of the slap heard around the tents?
