Mark Zuckerberg's baby daughter Max has two new Silicon Valley friends as of early this morning, when Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer announced on Twitter that she and her husband, lawyer Zachary Bogue, welcomed identical twin girls to their family. The little ladies join 3-year-old big brother Macallister.
After Macallister was born, Mayer extended Yahoo's paid parental leave to 16 weeks for mothers and eight weeks for fathers, with $500 for home and child-care expenses. But earlier this fall on her blog, she said she planned to work throughout her pregnancy and limit her own time away from the office, just as she did with Macallister. Meanwhile, Zuckerberg said he would take two months of paid paternity leave, raising a question: Who will return to work first — him or Mayer?
