If you’re wondering how you know Rita Ora, it may be because you’ve been hearing her music everywhere. Or because her style has been turning heads for months now. But here’s the reason she’s going to be really huge: she’s already landed her first major fashion cover: Elle‘s May “Women in Music” issue.
We have the first look at Ora’s two gorgeous covers. In the first, she’s wearing a pink Chanel Haute Couture gown with a Ken O’Rourke headpiece and her signature red lipstick; in the second she gets cheeky with a Calvin Klein bustier, Philip Treacy headpiece and makeup to match.
This is hardly Ora’s first foray into high fashion — though she did have to get a little aggressive to land the killer Marchesa gown she wore to the MTV Europe Music Awards.

“I went up to [Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman] and said, ‘Hi, I’m Rita. Nice to meet you. I need to wear your dress,’” Ora says. “She was like, ‘What dress?’ They’ve got 10 million dresses. I said, ‘Look, I have your dress as the screen saver on my phone. This red dress needs to be on my body.”
And even though she appreciates a good ballgown, Ora says we can expect to see her in lots more provocative clothing, no matter how her label tries to persuade her otherwise. Label input “should never be allowed,” Ora says of her independent fashion choices. “It’s like somebody telling you what to sing.”
