Lauren Bush Lauren has been working tirelessly on her FEED charity for years, helping to bring meals to underprivileged people through the purchase of her distinctive bags. But now she’s bringing FEED to a whole new level, partnering with Target for a 50+ item collection to launch June 30.
“This is our largest-ever initative to fight hunger here in the U.S.,” Lauren tells PEOPLE exclusively of the collaboration. “We hope to provide more than 10 million meals to children and families across America.”
Lauren also gives PEOPLE an exclusive sneak peek at two of the items that are part of the FEED USA + Target partnership: a collapsible bike and a set of bracelets, both of which reflect the “Americana” aspect of the collection that Bush is especially proud of.
And the bike is a personal favorite of hers: “I ride my bike to work and around my West Village neighborhood, [so] I love [it],” she says. “Plus, it’s foldable and easy to store if you don’t have a lot of space in your apartment.”
As for what to wear when riding it? “Anything!” she says. “Pants, shorts, even a skirt. Of course, the best thing to wear when you are coasting along on our classic FEED USA + Target bike is a FEED USA + Target helmet, denim shirt, and backpack!”
Lauren has carried her FEED bags everywhere from business meetings to the Met gala, and she hopes that making this collection available to Target’s large audience will help others do the same. “By carrying a FEED bag, you are supporting an important cause and helping to raise awareness about hunger in America, and you can look stylish doing it,” she says.
