What’s better than treating yourself to a designer piece? How about treating yourself out a one-of-a-kind designer piece, and doing good in the process?
Designer Donna Karan has rounded up 150 of her fellow designers and CDFA members to create custom papier-mäché hearts that represent their style. Now they’re putting their handiwork up for auction on eBay, with proceeds to benefit the Haitian Artisan Project through Karan’s Urban Zen organization.

Some of the biggest names in fashion, including (clockwise from top left) Monique Lhuillier, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera and jewelry designer Monique Péan, created the pretty objets, using their own art to draw attention to Haiti’s artisans. The benefiting charity helps promote economic development and job creation in the recovering country.
“My hope is that these hearts will continue to carry on the message that with a little bit of creativity so much soul can be expressed,” Karan tells PEOPLE of her initiative. To see (and bid on) the remaining designer hearts, visit the designated eBay site between April 22 and May 2.
