Erin Andrews
Last night’s Dancing With The Stars was all about the celebs’ time to shine. While the stars performed emotional, showstopping routines to celebrate the most memorable year of their lives, host Erin Andrews was a bit more literal, picking a heavy-metal mini that practically was its own spotlight.
The 38-year-old jumped on the shimmery silver trend we’ve seen stars embracing this fall, choosing an eye-catching metallic long-sleeve mini dress by designer Mikal D. “This season is all about rich, luxurious metallics and heavy beading,” Andrews’ stylist Anita Patrickson said.

While Andrews admits party dresses aren’t her normal ballroom attire, as soon as Patrickson brought this one into her fitting, she knew it was perfect. And if she’d had any second thoughts, the reaction she got from the dancers, judges and co-host Tom Bergeron made her love it even more.

“The reaction I got from [everyone] was hilarious. I guess I don’t show my legs too much on the show!” she told PeopleStyle. “After the show, Carrie Anne said, ‘You need to wear this all the time.’ Now I want to text Anita [Patrickson] and ask her if we can find this dress in a different color for every week.”
Once hair stylist Ryan Randall saw the dress’s high neckline, he knew he wanted Andrews’ hair in an updo. “We’ve done updos the past few weeks, so I knew it had to be something unique,” he said. “Erin is a lover of texture and movement, so I had some fun with braids this week — seven to be exact!”

After spritzing the hair Aquage Sea Salt Texturizing Spray, Randall took seven random sections and created seven deconstructed fishtail braids. Then to give the hair a messier feel, he wrapped and pinned the braids up in varying directions.
Makeup artist Lisa Ashley also amped up the drama this week, focusing on deeper, autumn-appropriate shades that paired perfectly with her dress.

“I’m always waiting for an opportunity to use darker cheek and lip colors on Erin. Tonight’s ‘silver sparkle’ number was a perfect time to keep her eyes simple and skin tone lighter than usual in order to accentuate color on her cheeks and lips,” Ashley said.
For her raspberry pout, Ashley lined the star’s lips with M.A.C.’s cult-favorite Soar lip pencil and topped it off with Sixties Fan lip gloss by NARS, a deep burgundy shade. “In this past, [this color] would typically make Erin very nervous,” Ashley added. “But this is an all new, adventurous Erin!”
