Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova aren’t the only ones gushing about their newborn twins. The singer’s mother, Isabel Preysler, recently spoke to Hola magazine about her new grandchildren, Lucy and Nicholas, and how her son is managing fatherhood. “Enrique is extraordinarily happy,” Preysler said of her 42-year-old son’s adaptation to his new role as a dad.
On Jan. 16, the proud parents shared adorable photos with their twins on social media. The “El Baño” singer snuggled up to Nicholas, who sported a gray striped onesie and matching hat, writing: “My Sunshine.” The same day, the tennis player posted a photo of herself kissing baby Lucy’s cheek. More recently, Kournikova shared a video flaunting her hot post-baby bod while dancing to her love’s latest single on a yacht.
Preysler, 66, who is a Filipino-Spanish socialite, journalist and television host, also talked about Kournikova’s pregnancy, which the couple seemed to have kept under wraps.“It was a perfectly normal pregnancy, she didn’t have to do mandatory bed rest at any time,” she said, emphasizing: “Anna hasn’t had to hide. She has a very simple and homey life,” she said of her 36-year-old daughter-in-law.
The newborn babies are the first children for the couple, who have been together for over a decade and a half. Other members of the family are also thrilling at the twins’ arrival. Enrique’s sister Tamara Falcó Preysler also spoke to Hola about her new niece and nephew: “Lucy looks more like Anna, she is blonde and has blue eyes, and Nico looks more like Enrique, more morenito .” In an interview with Vanitatis, Falcó said in December: “I became an aunt twice in an instant. Babies are always welcome and I thank God for so many blessings. It was a great Christmas present.”
