It's Gwen Stacy like you've never seen her! Emma Stone began filming scenes for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 this month in New York City opposite real-life boyfriend Andrew Garfield, bringing a whole new stylish sophistication to Peter Parker's on-screen love interest.

Donning a yellow trench coat to battle the Big Apple's chilly temps during a recent overnight shoot in NYC's Chinatown neighborhood, Stone, 24, interacted with Garfield's Peter Parker in one scene, and filmed at a home in Brooklyn -- accessorizing with patterned tights and leather boots -- in another.
Reprising the role she took on in the 2012 flick, Stone teamed with the first film's costume designer Kim Barret to make Gwen Stacy stand out.

"We worked together to make sure that Gwen felt like Gwen, but also made sense in the real world. And I'm a lot less voluptuous than Gwen, unfortunately, so it didn't really go to those heights," Stone has said of her on-screen transformation into the iconic comic book character.
"But the signature headband, and the thigh-highs and the coats and all of that was important. Right down to the makeup. We really tried to keep her realistic and Earth-bound. I'm by no means a supermodel or an unattainable looking person, so that element of Gwen was a bit different because she was such a beauty queen in the comic books," Stone said. "I'm more 'next door' than she might be. So that, we worked on."
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 -- costarring Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson -- hits theaters in 2014.
