Miley Cyrus isn’t the only star going from a pixie to a bob with a little help from fake hair. Daniel Radcliffe has undergone a similar transformation, though his new look isn’t for fashion’s sake — it’s for a role.
While appearing on the U.K.’s Graham Norton Show to promote his film Kill Your Darlings, the actor showed off the lustrous, chin-length mane he has to wear for his role as Igor in the upcoming film Frankenstein. He didn’t have time to grow out his own hair, however, so the longer look comes courtesy of some brand-new hair extensions.

Or as he put it on the show, “real dead human beings’ hair … it’s from, I assume, a dead person or a person who donated their hair.” While dead human hair would add an appropriately macabre element to the Frankenstein shoot, we’d guess that fellow guest Mary Berry was correct when she guessed it was likely from someone who cut their hair to sell for extensions.
What do you think of Radcliffe’s longer locks? Should he make the look permanent?
