Chloe Sevigny Is Back On TV

A&E has picked up "Those Who Kill."

The network ordered 10 one-hour episodes of the scripted drama, starring Chloë Sevigny and James D'Arcy.

A&E's "Those Who Kill" is based on a popular Danish crime drama, which was inspired by the work of Elsebeth Egholm. The series follows Catherine Jensen (Sevigny), a brand-new, whip-smart police detective who tracks down serial killers. She's driven by the fact that she suspects her own stepfather might be a serial killer and her brother went missing when he was 16. She enlists the help of forensic psychiatrist Thomas Schaffer (D'Arcy) to help her get into the minds of serial killers, but she's also dragging him into her personal investigation.

"'Those Who Kill' is not a crime procedural about serial killers -- it's a deep serialized character portrait of two compelling yet damaged individuals coming together through the revelation of their dark past," A&E President Bob DeBitetto said in a statemetnt. "We are thrilled to have such an incredible cast and crew signed on to this project and the result should be an absolutely riveting series."

D'Arcy is primarily known for his work in the UK, but recently appeared in the films "Cloud Atlas" and "Hitchcock." Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning actress Sevigny recently had a disturbing stint on FX's "American Horror Story: Asylum" after "Big Love" came to an end. She's also recently starred in the DirecTV miniseries "Hit & Miss" and had stints on "Louie," "Law & Order: SVU," and "Portlandia."

Production on A&E's "Those Who Kill" will begin this fall and the series is set for a 2014 premiere on A&E.
