Chilli Of TLC: 'We Showed Girls You Can Be Successful Without Wearing Zero Clothes'

Back in the day, the girl group TLC was known for its members' wild fashions -- but not wild in a Miley Cyrus sense. The outfits weren't so much skimpy as they were creative, with coordinating colors and even words spelled out across the chests of the three members, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.

And the decision not to simply strip down to as little clothing as possible was a deliberate one. In an interview with HuffPost Live, Chilli said, "I love the fact that we showed girls back then and even throughout our whole career and still continue to show you can be successful without wearing zero clothes or tight clothes."

You can wear tasteful clothes, and even baggy clothes, Chilli explained, and know that "I'm still sexy, I'm a woman. Just because I don't have on high heels and a thong doesn't mean [I'm not]."
