Catherine Garvin: Model Kate Moss Walks Louis Vuitton RTW Fall 2013

Golden girl model Kate Moss wowed in her usual chic way as she walked the Louis Vuitton Ready-To-Wear Fall Collection 2013 fashion show yesterday in Paris, France.

Moss continues to give us a close look at her ability to inspire while wearing all things gorgeous. Yes, absolutely Louis Vuitton gorgeous.

So much to say about Louis Vuitton and how Marc Jacobs delivered yet again another amazing view into his creative fashion genius.

Let's begin. I love the vintage feel of the velvety dresses. Yes, the velvet dresses were oh so 'Downton Abbey' the popular PBS TV show set in the British countryside during the Edwardian era, WWI and after. I felt the presence of Lady Cora Crawley in many of the lavish overcoats of pink and soft gray.

Mixing and matching of period fashion has been a trend for many designers during the past couple of years. What makes Jacobs different?

Well, I like the way he has taken bold leaps in his design choices for high-end style but rooted in real world wear ability. Jacobs uses the vintage elements of elegance, romance, mystery and drama to define what is modern and trendy today. How so?

Jacobs is mixing fashion periods from unique historical and cultural settings, and matching decidedly the different tastes of the British, French and Americans.

Lovely French lace lingerie dresses covered up by British style plaid overcoats paired with the '40s silhouette reminiscent of the movie star glamour of Marlene Dietrich and Joan Crawford. The models were styled in an American Claire Bow bob hair cut, dark smoldering eyes of a French coquette wearing the glamorous fashion influences of both the British and American Hollywood. It is truly French fashion at it's best.

Can I honestly call it French fashion? I don't know. It's exhilarating when one cultural fashion line blurs into another and then another, all the while transformed into something new, forever redefined. So, I've coined this fashion phenomenon the new global one.

Where do we draw the line and how do we now distinguish ourselves? Very good question for Marc Jacobs and other designers, don't you think? Yes, today I was so happy to see something wonderful I stopped everything to look upon the future of fine fashion and style designed by Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. The future with no bra. No bra? Right, Kate Moss wore no bra.

Elegant and sexy see through flower lace motif evening dresses revealed Jacob had no desire to cover the female breasts with a bra. Scandalous? Perhaps.

So, what else is in store for the new global one in the fall?

According to the ready-to-wear designs of Louis Vuitton, easy flowing elegance and the soft sophistication of silk pajamas, '40s inspired suits with skinny belts, lace, velvet, printed satin fabrics, plaids and no bra. I love it, let me know what you think.
