Brooklyn Decker & Dawson Leery Are Getting Together

Brooklyn Decker is a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl who now spends her time starring in middling movies. James Van Der Beek is a '90s teen heartthrob who nows spends his time parodying himself.

Now these two are going to unite to create something, well, better than those things. Deadline reports that Decker has been cast alongside Van Der Beek in a TV pilot called "Friends With Better Lives" planned for CBS. The concept is a classic ensemble sitcom about six 30-something friends (sound familiar?), with Brooklyn playing a former model.

Although she hasn't finished proving herself in the acting world, the role is actually a good fit for Decker. The blonde swimsuit model tested her comedic chops in guest roles on "The League" and "New Girl," plus she's acted alongside Alexander Skarsgard in "Battleship" and Jennifer Aniston in "Just Go With It."

For what it's worth, she's also hilarious and has no filter whatsoever, something we've learned from her many interviews and tweets. Be our gal pal, Brooklyn?

James Van Der Beek is also a man of the small screen these days, mocking himself on the now-cancelled "Don't Trust The B**** In Apartment 23." But he'll always be Dawson Leery to us...

"Friends With Better Lives" is just a pilot, so there's no guarantee that Brooklyn and Dawson -- er, James -- will become a normal part of our TV routine. But a girl can dream, right?
