Laura James, the most recent winner of America’s Next Top Model, is already living up to her title.
As part of her winning package, James landed a contract with Nine West, and she traveled to N.Y.C. Wednesday to shoot the line’s newest lookbook. And because we can’t resist a backstage peek (or a look at amazing shoes) we asked James to go behind the camera to share her experience with us.

Below, James shares two prep shots before the action began. She shows off her all-done-up look on the left, writing “Final touches have been made! Time to show off and rock these shoes!” — though she does display all the hard work that went into the finished product in the photo on the right, which she captions “Taking a break from getting hair and makeup ready so I could snap a quick pic!”

Next, she got a pal to snap a shot of her posing in a pair of sexy sandals (below), joking, “By far one of my favorite looks: sophisticated yet very sexy! I wonder if anyone ever tells Olivia Wilde she looks like Laura James!”

And finally, she holds up the pair of shoes she most loved (top photo), gushing “Thanks to Nine West I was able to keep my favorite pair of shoes from the shoot!” Ooh, we’ll take a pair of those too!
