One Arizona family is lucky to be alive.
A barking dog saved them from a fire that destroyed their Tucson home on Tuesday. The Tucson Fire Department shared a video on its Facebook page that showed the mobile home in flames at about 1 a.m. that day.
“The family of four escaped safely after the mother was awakened by a dog barking,” said the video’s caption. “So thankful the family is okay but please check your smoke alarms because at 1:00 what if there isn’t a barking dog?”
The dog woke a 40-year-old woman, Tuscon.com reported, one of four people asleep inside the mobile home. The woman opened the door to see why the dog was barking and saw that the carport was on fire.
Flames later engulfed the entire home but everyone escaped without injury, the report said.
