There were a lot of winners at last night's British Fashion Awards, but J.W. Anderson was the indisputable champ, clinching both Menswear Designer of the Year and Womenswear Designer of the Year. The ceremony wasn't without some tongue-in-cheek British humor: Anna Wintour presented the Outstanding Achievement Award to Karl Lagerfeld, joking, “In my next life, I’d like to come back as Choupette,” and Ab Fab's Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley presented Stella McCartney with the Brand of the Year honors, jokingly calling her, “someone who has literally come out of nowhere” and “the woman who's been making bags out of the pubic hair of wheatgrass.” As McCartney came up to take the award, Saunders begged, "Let me in your shop one day!"
