J.C. Penney's Biggest Loser

(Reuters) - Few investors are taking as big a hit from J.C. Penney Co Inc's failed turnaround experiment as the man who engineered it: recently ousted Chief Executive Ron Johnson.

Johnson is out at least $37.6 million so far, excluding his salary and fringe benefits, according to regulatory filings reviewed by compensation consultants Equilar.

Junior High Bans Girls' Tight Pants Because They Distract Boys

Last week a Petaluma, Calif., junior high school placed a ban on girls' tight-fitting pants because the boys were reportedly getting too distracted. The school, however, has already adjusted its policy after a backlash from parents. Petaluma Patch reports that students are now being told they can wear yoga pants and skinny jeans, but leggings worn as pants are still not allowed.
